Enquiry closed : Good afternoon, I write with regards to your recent enquiry into the issues at the junction of Old London Road and Rock Road, Washington. Please be advised that they have been assessed and actioned as follows: 3110739 – Parking/Lining at junction The lining has been highlighted to our contractor, and should be renewed in due course. With regards to the parking, as this is in contravention of The Highway Code, WSCC have no jurisdiction over this, and it is in fact a Police matter, to be reported to them as and when required. 3110741 – Overgrown vegetation at junction The offending overgrown vegetation is privately owned/maintained, and therefore we have contacted the land owner to request that action is taken to cut it back accordingly. The site will continue to be monitored for any required future intervention.
