West Sussex - Nuthurst & Lower Beeding Ward

Description

There are 2 potholes here on the left of the left lane just before the Plummers Plain sign. The first one is approximately 1-1.5foot into the road and 1.5 foot long, approx 50-100mm deep. I haven't yet been able to get out and inspect the pothole to get exact measurements due to heavy traffic on commutes. The second one is approximately 2-3 feet after the 1st and is further out into the road and a lot deeper than the first one. They do have white chalk lines around them but I am reporting as I hit this pothole last Thursday evening, the second one is impossible to avoid without moving into the other lane and oncoming traffic). There are no warning signs for it and in the dark impossible to see and since I hit it my car is making horrible noises and my alignment is now out, am getting a mechanic to see what damage this has caused. I got pictures of both of the potholes this morning (23/01/2020). This was already reported to you on 13th January 2020 (picture of report attached) which is 8 working days ago. image 2
